Jacob graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. He joined the team as a research assistant in July of 2021. In addition to his lab position, he also volunteers as a graduate advisor for the Pride Peers mentorship program. Jacob would like to practice medicine in the future and is currently applying to medical schools. His previous volunteering and shadowing in medicine have led to an interest in surgical specialties, but he is still open to other fields including ophthalmology and pediatrics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing board games.
